We are pleased to announce the successful completion of MOL’s first Pure Car Carrier (PCC) vessel call and first large-volume cargo loading operation at Mipec Port (MPC) in Hai Phong, Vietnam, on 8 August 2026. This achievement represents more than a successful first vessel call. It marks the beginning of a strong partnership with MPC Port and an important milestone in the development of future PCC operations in Hai Phong.
As one of the world’s leading car carrier operators, with a fleet of more than 100 PCC vessels, MOL has been a pioneer in automobile transportation since 1965. The successful operation further strengthens our presence in Vietnam and reinforces our commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient vehicle transportation services across the region.
The success of the operation was built well before the vessel’s arrival. On 7 August, teams from MOL, MPC Port, and the stevedore company worked closely together to conduct yard inspections, cargo readiness checks, port facility assessments, operational planning discussions, safety briefings, and loading coordination meetings. Through these preparations, all parties were fully aligned and operationally ready for the vessel’s arrival.
On 8 August, the vessel berthed as scheduled, and cargo operations were completed safely and efficiently. The seamless execution reflected the strong collaboration and professionalism demonstrated by the vessel crew, terminal personnel, stevedores, and operational teams throughout the process.
